5. Installing the Ink Cartridges

When the screen shown on the left appears, detach the

bottle, discard the discharged uid to empty it.

CAUTION

Be sure to discard the

discharged uid at this step.

A large amount of ink will be discharged during

this operation. Be sure to discard the discharged

uid at this step. If you do not discard the dis-

charged uid at this step, the discharged uid

overows from the drain bottle during the subse-

quent process.

CAUTION

Before you detach the

drain bottle, be sure to wait for the screen

to display "EMPTY DRAIN BOTTLE."

Failing to follow this procedure may cause dis-

charged uid to ow out of the tube and spill,

soiling your hands or the oor.



Attach the emptied drain bottle to the machine.

Press

Insert the ink cartridges for the respective colors.



Before you insert the ink cartridge for each

color, gently shake the cartridge.

Insert Ink cartridges into slots 7 and 8.

When "E-SOL MAX2 7C" is selected, insert a dedicated cleaning car-

tridge (ESL4-CL) for ECO-SOL MAX2 into slot 8.

Insert dummy cartridges into slots 1 to 6.

SET SOL CRT.

FILLING INK...

Insert into the slot of the

matching color.
