5. Installing the Ink Cartridges

Insert the ink cartridge for each color.

Insert into the slot of

the matching color.

Discard the discharged ink in the drain bottle.

Be sure to discard. If not discarded at this step, the discharged ink will

overow.

Attach the drain bottle and press .

Never remove an ink cartridge or switch off the power while ink lling is in

progress.

If an ink cartridge is removed or the power is switched o while ink lling is in progress,

[CLEANING ERROR] appears on the display screen and ink lling is stopped. In that case, fol-

low the instructions described in the section "Cleaning error" in "If Error Message Appears"

of User's Manual to recover from the error, and then start from the beginning.

Never switch off the main power.Never pull out the cartridges.
